EastMinCom Deploys HADR Teams to the Flood-Affected Areas Across Davao Region

 



NSFA, Panacan, Davao City - Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) deployed Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) Teams as Trough Low Pressure Area affected Davao Region since Jan 31, 2024.

About 595 troops were deployed from different units and conducted HADR operations to the affected communities at the flood-stricken areas in Carmen and Tagum, Davao del Norte while other teams on standby were closely coordinating with the responding government agencies.

EastMinCom recorded a total of 5,270 individuals, 1,861 families, 61 barangays, and 13 municipalities that were affected by the heavy rains and flooding across Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Sur, and Davao del Norte.

The Tactical Operations Wing - Eastern Mindanao deployed its air assets in support to Office of Civil Defense Region 11 for their Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) in Carmen, Davao del Norte while several military vehicles were dispatched to support HADR efforts.

Likewise, Communication Teams from EastMinCom Signal Units were augmented to ensure uninterrupted situation monitoring in the joint operational area.

Meanwhile, LtGen. Almerol assures the public that the Command will remain committed to assisting the people affected by the calamity.

We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you during this challenging time, working together to overcome difficulties and aid in the recovery of affected areas.
