EastminCom Lauds LGU's critical decision in Davao de Oro landslide Rescue Operations

NSFA, Panacan, Davao City - The Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom)  extends its extreme gratitude to the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council of Davao de Oro and Maco Municipality, for providing control to the critical situation during the onslaught of the Masara landslide on the evening of February 6, 2024.

This came after the  Command's conduct of After Operations Review as the elements of the 525th Engineering Battalion pulled out from the area on February 22, 2024, returning to their Headquarters in Quezon City.

The significant factors in Search and Rescue Operations are the critical decisions of those who lead and control actions on the ground, ensuring that all efforts are made to save lives and protect responders from too many risks. Ltgen Greg T. Almerol, Commander, Eastern Mindanao Command emphatically expressed as he synthesized lessons learned from the rescue operations.

"I thank the DRRMC leaders for taking care of the personnel and all those who helped alleviate the pains and sufferings of the victims of the calamities".#
